There's a new cookie company in town, The Graceful Cookie, and it is making a variety of delicious treats for the specialty industry. The first ones we tried were the Graceful Tea Cakes, scrumptious dome-shaped cookies with a lovely texture that is perfect to accompany a cup of tea. They come in Original, Meyer Lemon and, perhaps the best of all, an original tea cake dipped in creamy Guittard chocolate. They also have a neat line of Biscotti, available in Anise, Mocha Chocolate Chip, Orange, Lemon Dipped White, Orange Cranberry Pistachio and Orange Dipped Dark. Slightly softer than most biscotti, they are hand-rolled and twice-baked, and wanting to be dipped in a hot mug of tea or coffee. Their showpiece is Flitter, an individually wrapped shortbread butterfly cookie, decorated to look like a butterfly with icing, chocolate and colored sugar.
